Safety acres

Young children living on farms can quickly pick up bad habits and practices when doing chores or other farm-related activities. Similarly children, not living on farms but visiting those owned by family and friends, may not be aware of the dangers lurking in or around tractors or grain bins.

Safety Acres is a nationally recognized farm safety education program designed for young children. Participants will learn farm safety and awareness on topics including:

  • Grain Bin

  • ATV Safety

  • PTO Safety

  • Animal Safety

  • Pond Safety

  • Firearm Safety

  • Fire Safety

  • Electrical Safety

Any school in northwest Missouri or northeast Kansas can register their 3rd, 4th or 5th grade classes to attend Safety Acres as a spring field trip.
