Driver Education Program
The Safety Council will offer a full driver's education program beginning June 3, 2019. Students receive 24 hours of classroom education, 12 hours of observation in a vehicle and 6 hours behind the wheel instruction.
This program is open to residents of Andrew, Buchanan, Clinton and DeKalb counties in Missouri and Doniphan County, Kansas. Missouri students must be 15 to 19 years old and have a Missouri instruction permit or license. Kansas students must be 16 to 19 years old and possess a valid Kansas permit or license.
The two-week classroom portion is conducted Monday through Friday and will run June 3 - 14. Two sessions are offered; a morning session, 9 a.m. to 12 noon or an afternoon session, 1 - 4 p.m. Classes are held at the Safety Council Office at 3131 Frederick Avenue, Habitat for Humanity Building. Driving and observation times are scheduled by certified driving instructors outside of the classroom sessions.

Registration with other form of payment (check, cash, or money order) must be completed in person at the Safety Council office at 3131 Frederick Ave, Suite 220, St. Joseph MO.
STUDENTS ARE NOT REGISTERED UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.
