The St. Joseph Safety Council and the St. Joseph School District have formed a partnership to offer Safety Town through the District's Summer Enrichment Program.
Safety Town is a miniature town designed to introduce
children (ages 5-7) to the importance and methods of safety, especially pedestrian safety.
Student Volunteers needed
- Do you enjoy being around children?
- Are you dependable, responsible and friendly?
- Do you want to do something other that sit and watch TV this summer?
- Do you want to feel like you are contributing to your community?
- Do you need community service hours for scholarship applications?
If the answer to any of these questions is "Yes," then contact the St. Joseph Safety and Health Council and become a student volunteer for Safety Town. Requirements: Must have completed 7th grade, have a letter of recommendation from a teacher, principal, or counselor and parent's signature on a consent form.
