St. Joseph Safety and Health Council

 

Founded in 1935, the St. Joseph Safety and Health Council is a non-profit 501(c)3 community organization dedicated to reducing the number of accidental injuries, illnesses and deaths that may occur in St. Joseph and the surrounding communities.  The Safety Council promotes being safe in our community, our homes and at work through the adoption of good safety habits and best practices.  We offer a  variety services, including training and education programs, community outreach and awareness programs.

JOB OPENING

The St. Joseph Safety and Health Council is currently searching for a part-time SATOP Administrator.  The candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.  Applicant agrees to sign a pre-employment release for the Safety Council to verify all documents, references, employment history, and educational qualifications.

The SATOP Administrator is responsible for providing the implementation and supervision of the SATOP program.  Candidates must be a Qualified Professional and SATOP certified by the State of Missouri.  Contact the Council for additional information. 

 

NEW!!  4-Hour Defensive driving class

In response to Missouri Western State University no longer offering a Driver's Education Program, the St. Joseph Safety & Health Council will be presenting the National Safety Council's 4-Hour Defensive Driving (classroom only) on the following date:  August 4 at MWSU.  Students will learn about roadway emergencies, changing road conditions, distractions, emergency vehicles, occupant protection systems and fatal behaviors to name a few.  This class is not meant to replace behind the wheel instruction but to provide students tools in driving defensively.
